Costa del Sol, finally! This was a great reamstering of the lovely beach town, and it’s an awesome reprieve after the dark events that happened on the ship here.
The mini-games here are all superb, though finding that last cactus was a titanic pain in the butt. The Red XIII mini-game was great, the new Queen’s Blood quests were awesome, and the shooting mini-game was just challenging enough. Overall, there’s a lot of fun to be had in Costa del Sol.
The Hojo scenes were all pretty solid, and we got some memorable shots of Aerith and Cloud on the beach (I’m aiming for the Aerith date – sorry all Tifa fans). It also looks like we’re finally going to get Yuffie in the party!
The only thing this town was missing was the gold sink! I was hoping to be able to buy a house here, but it looks like that might be replaced by Johnny owning a hotel. Don’t get me wrong, Johnny is awesome.
Short chapter, but fun! I get the feeling the next one is going to be a lot longer, since we’re coming up on the road to Corel and the Gold Saucer.
