Since I posted my drafts at the beginning of the season, I figured I’d post an update on what happened in those leagues:
From the first draft, I won the championship! I ended the regular season in third (9-5). I also ended with the third most points for, and second most points against. It was a stressful season. The QB position was rotational, but I ended up with Trevor Lawrence in the end on a hot streak, and brought home the gold. This is my third time winning this league, with wins coming every 4 years (2017, 2021, 2025).
From the second draft, I ended the regular season in first (12-3), with the second most points for, but collapsed after Mahomes tore his ACL. I really thought I could win it all until that happened. I finished this season in 4th place. The app gave me “Match of the Week” a record 11 times, which also made for a stressful season.
From the third draft, I also won the championship! This was the guillotine league, and I ended with a single strike in week 17, but got the final win in week 18.
Winning two out of three leagues ain’t bad!
Two things I’m considering for next year:
- A real money dynasty league. The way it was pitched sounds super convoluted, but whatever. Could be fun.
- Bowl Games. I want to find a way to have the games after the championship be just-for-fun bowl games, and match up teams against their rivals, give the games names, etc.
